Southern Xpress was founded in 1996 by Richard Ross and Robert Johnson after years of working together at Southern Motor Transport (SMT). They started the company with one simple goal: earn our customers’ trust and keep it. Three decades later, that same commitment continues to guide how we operate every day.
Southern Xpress has built its business moving freight throughout Memphis and the surrounding region. We know the roads, the facilities, and the customers we serve—allowing us to respond quickly, solve problems, and keep freight moving efficiently.
